BILL NO. 2388 — AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. B-2010-705, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING
BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII, FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2010 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2011, BY REVISING
THE SURPLUS AND APPROPRIATIONS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL
FUND ($62,719.00 — Golf Fund; $2,704,873.00 — Sewer Fund),
which was passed on first reading and ordered to print by the Council of the County
of Kauai on December 15, 2010, and published in The Garden Island newspaper on
December 22, 2010.
The hearing proceeded as follows:
ALICE PARKER: Alice Parker for the record. I fully support
spending money for sewers. We don't want to follow the progress of Honolulu with
their sewers and waterlines erupting; we want to keep everything up-to-date,
because we do have aging infrastructure, and we do have more population than
when the infrastructure was built. So we do need that funding in that department.
Thank you.
There being no further testimony on this matter, the public hearing
adjourned at 1:57 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
PETER A. NAKAMURA
County Clerk
