BUDGET & FINANCE CONIIVIITTEE
March 18, 2009
A meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee of the Council of the County
of Kaua`i, State of Hawai`i, was called to order by Councilmember Daryl W.
Kaneshiro, Chair, at the Historic County Building, Room 201, Lihu`e, Kaua`i, on
Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at 10:03 a.m., after which the following members
answered the call of the roll:
Honorable Bill "Kaipo" Asing
Honorable Tim Bynum
Honorable Dickie Chang
Honorable Jay Furfaro
Honorable Daryl W. Kaneshiro .
Honorable Lani T. Kawahara
Honorable Derek S. K. Kawakami
Minutes of the March 4, 2009 Budget & Finance Committee Meeting
Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Asing, seconded by
Councilmember Kawakami, and unanimously carried, the Minutes of the
March 4, 2009 Budget & Finance Committee Meeting was approved.
The Committee proceeded on its agenda item as shown in the following
Committee report which is incorporated herein by reference:
CR-B&F 2009-07: on B&F 2009-2 Communication (3/02/2009) from Committee
Chair Daryl W. Kaneshiro, requesting that
the Administration be present to update the
Committee on the following Departments'
suggested corrective action plans for the
Fiscal Year 2007-2008 Single Audit Findings
and Questioned Costs:
• Finance Department
- Finding No. 07-09, Grants Management
- Finding No. 08-01, Grants Management
- Recommendations Designed to Improve
Internal Accounting Controls and
Administrative Efficiency for the Year
Ended June 31, 2008

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:12 a.m.
