't39 ,1ti~ -4 P ~ ~13 NOTICE OF PUBLICATION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ~° ~~~ i Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kauai ~~ho- ,ar: ~, , i~r ~ yea ,Ir,aw~.-. ~r public hearing on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 1:30 p.m., or soon thereafter, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Room 201, Historic County Building, Lihu`e, on the following: BILL NO. 2291 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8-24.1, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE The purpose of this bill is to amend Chapter 8, Kauai County Code 1987, as amended, relating to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (CZO), by increasing the amount of the fine from $500 to $2,000 for persons if convicted of violating, permitting, or causing the violation of any of the provisions contained in the CZO. BILL NO. 2317 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH A NEW ARTICLE 28, CHAPTER 8, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, RELATING TO SMALL WIND ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEMS This bill proposes to amend Chapter 8, Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, Kauai County Code 1987; by establishing a new Article 28, relating to Small Wind Energy Conversion Systems (S.W.E.C.S.). The purpose of this bill is to allow S.W.E.C.S. as permitted uses in certain County zoning districts. The bill includes recommendations transmitted by the Kauai County Planning Commission. BILL NO. 2318 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 8, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, RELATING TO THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE (Farm Worker Housing) The purpose of this bill is to allow properly integrated farm worker housing that meets health and sanitation standards in the Agriculture District through the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance's Use ~ Permit process. This bill includes recommendations transmitted by the Kauai County Planning Commission. All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimonies prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Copies of the proposed ordinances are available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division. (The Council Committee or Council may amend this Bill at its subsequent meetings. Meeting notices are posted at least 6 days in advance at the County Clerk's Office and the public may also testify at any of these meetings.)
