BUDGET & FINANCE COMMITTEE
June 16, 2010
A meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee of the Council of the
County of Kaua`i, State of Hawai`i, was called to order by Councilmember
Daryl W. Kaneshiro, Chair, at 3371-A Wilcox Road, Lihu`e, Kaua`i, on Wednesday,
June 16, 2010, at 10:36 a.m., after which the following members answered the call
of the roll:
Honorable Bill "Kaipo" Asing
Honorable Tim Bynum
Honorable Dickie Chang
Honorable Jay Furfaro
Honorable Daryl W. Kaneshiro
Honorable Lani T. Kawahara
Honorable Derek S. K. Kawakami

Minutes of the Apri120, 2010 Departmental Budget Call Back.
DARYL KANESHIRO: Can I get a motion to approve those please?
KAIPO ASING, COUNCIL CHAIR: Before you do that can I ask for just a
personal privilege? What I would like to do is...
Mr. Kaneshiro: Absolutely.
Mr. Asing: Thank you.
Mr. Kaneshiro: Mr. Chair you have the floor.
Mr. Asing: Good, thank you. I just want to recognize that we
have four youngsters in the back left hand corner. They are the Boy Scout Troop
148. They are here in the chambers to participate and listen to and the reason for
them being here is they will be getting their Citizenship Community Badge and so
that's the reason their here. I would like to recognize them as Anthony Lopez,
Shaun Rabino, Colby Takasui, and Mathew Ortiz. Congratulations and thank you
for being here. Thank you.
Mr. Kaneshiro: Thank you Mr. Chair, with that before I call the
meeting back to order, if anyone of you would like to deliberate on my agenda item
you are welcome to do so, but it's only minutes of previous meetings so...

JAY FURFARO: Move to approve.
Mr. Kaneshiro: Thank you. Do I have a second on that?
DICKIE CHANG: Seconded.
Mr. Kaneshiro: All those in favor say "aye"
Committee Members: Aye.
Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Furfaro, and seconded by
Councilmember Chang, and unanimously carried, the minutes of the Fiscal Year
2010-2011 Departmental Budget Reviews and the minutes of the April 20, 2010
Departmental Budget Call Back are approved.
There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 10:38 a.m.
