Members of the public took the initiative to transport marine animals into the pond for swimmers to enjoy, but then noticed that the marine animals are being "fished out" of the pond. In order to protect the marine animals from being removed and to allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to post the appropriate "No Fishing" signs around the pond, this proposed bill prohibits fishing at Lydgate Beach Park Pond. All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimonies prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Copies of the proposed Bills are available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division. (The Council Committee or Council may amend these Bills at its subsequent meetings.
