TIM BYNUM, Finance /Parks & Recreation/Public Works Programs
Committee Chair: I wanted to let the Members know that we had a request earlier
in the day from County Engineer Larry Dill to defer this matter for one Committee
meeting, and I also want to take some responsibility for that. Before I left on the
east coast travel trip, I spoke with staff about a memo going over to them making
these requests and through a miscommunication it did not go until I got back. And
so they only had it for a week and we are asking them to do some pretty complex
analysis. So I take responsibility for that delay. But I have met with Larry and
Lyle and Mr. Saiki from the finance part, and they are working on this. They are
going to have information for us. And we also want to meet that standard where we
actually get these complex documents some time in advance of the meeting. So, I
apologize for my role in delaying this and would like to ask for a deferral. First of
all, any discussion or questions?
Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Yukimura, seconded by
Councilmember Nakamura, and unanimously carried, FPP 2012 -03 was
deferred.
CR -FPP 2012 -04: on Bill No. 2425 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND
CHAPTER 5A OF THE KAUAI COUNTY
CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
HOME EXEMPTIONS
[Approved as amended.]
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
TIM YNUM
