HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/28/2011 FINANCE/PARKS & RECREATION/PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAMS Committee MeetingMINUTES FINANCE /PARKS & RECREATION / PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAMS COMMITTEE September 28, 2011 A meeting of the Finance /Parks & Recreation /Public Works Programs Committee of the Council of the County of Kauai, State of Hawaii, was called to order by Councilmember Mel Rapozo, Vice Chair, at the Council Chamber, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 209, Lihu`e, Kauai, Hawaii 96766,on September 28, 2011 at 11:39 a.m., after which the following members answered the call of the roll: Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i Honorable Nadine K. Nakamura Honorable Mel Rapozo, Vice Chair Honorable JoAnn A. Yukimura Honorable Dickie Chang, Ex-Officio Member Honorable Jay Furfaro, Ex-Officio Member Excused: Honorable Tim Bynum, Chair There being no objections, the rules were suspended to take public testimony. There being no one to give testimony at this time, the meeting was recessed at 11:39 a.m. The Committee reconvened at 3:52 p.m., and proceeded as follows: Minutes of the August 10, 2011 Finance/Parks & Recreation/Public Works Programs Committee. Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Yukimura, seconded. by Councilmember Kuali`i, and unanimously carried, the Minutes of the August 10, 2011 Finance/Parks & Recreation/Public Works Programs Committee was approved. Minutes of the August 24, 2011 Finance/Parks & Recreation/Public Works Programs Committee. Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Yukimura, seconded by Councilmember Kuali`i, and unanimously carried, the Minutes of the August 24, 2011 Finance/Parks & Recreation/Public Works Programs Committee was approved. The Committee proceeded on its agenda items, as follows: Bill No. 2408 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5A, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, RELATING TO HOME EXEMPTIONS [This item was deferred.] Vice Chair Rapozo: Committee Chair Bynum has asked for this item to be deferred. Is there anyone in the audience that wants to testify on Bill No. 2408? If not I'll entertain that motion and second. 1 Y Upon emotion duly made by Councilmember Yukimura, seconded by Councilmember Kuali`i, and unanimously carried, Bill No. 2408 was deferred. The Committee proceeded on its next agenda item as shown in the following Committee Report, which is incorporated herein by reference, as follows: CR-FPP 2011-09: on Bill No. 2411 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. B-2011-732, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2011 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2012, BY REVISING THE SURPLUS AND APPROPRIATIONS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND (Office of the County Clerk - $60,000.00) [Approved.] There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:55 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Ihilani Laureta Secretary APPROVED mittee Meeting held on October 12, 2011: TIM BYNUM CHAIR, FPP COMMITTEE 2
