October 17, 2012
A meeting of the Finance / Parks & Recreation / Public Works Programs
Committee of the Council of the County of Kaua`i, State of Hawai`i, was called to
order by Councilmember Tim Bynum, Chair, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice
Street, Suite 201, Lihu`e, Kaua`i, on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 4:38 p.m., after
which the following members answered the call of the roll:
Honorable Tim Bynum, Chair
Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i, Member
Honorable Nadine K. Nakamura
Honorable Mel Rapozo
Honorable JoAnn A. Yukimura
Honorable Jay Furfaro, Ex-Officio Member
Honorable Dickie Chang, Ex-Officio Member
The Committee proceeded on its agenda item as follows:
Bill No. 2444 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5A-6.3,
KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
REAL PROPERTY TAX (Cost Control Commission
Recommendation—Minimum Real Property Tax Assessment)

have submitted several question to our
Mr. Kuali`i: I q
Real Property Tax Division and we want to give them some time to answer. I have
also received some requests from citizens that want to participate. So I am asking
for a deferral.
Committee Chair Bynum: Just before you make the motion, I also have
some follow-up and questions that I am asking, so I think it is really appropriate.
Thank you.
Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Kuali`i, seconded by Ms. Yukimura, and
unanimously carried, Bill No. 2444 was deferred.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:39 p.m.
