Council of the County of Kaua`i, State of Hawai`i, was called to order by Councilmember Mel Rapozo, Chair, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Lihu`e, Kauai, on Wednesday, July 5, 2012, at 2:30 p.m., after which the following members answered the call of the roll: Honorable Honorable Honorable Honorable Honorable Honorable Honorable Tim Bynum Dickie Chang KipuKai Kuali`i Mel Rapozo JoAnn A. Yukimura Nadine K. Nakamura, Ex- Officio Member Jay Furfaro, Ex- Officio Member Minutes of the June 6, 2012 Public Safety & Environmental Services Committee meeting. Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Kuali`i, seconded by Councilmember Yukimura, and unanimously carried, the Minutes of the June 6, 2012 Public Safety & Environmental Services Committee was approved. Minutes of the June 20, 2012 Public Safety & Environmental Services Committee meeting. Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Kuali`i, seconded by Councilmember Bynum, and unanimously carried, the Minutes of the June 20, 2012 Public Safety & Environmental Services Committee was approved. The Committee proceeded on its agenda item as follows: Bill No. 2435 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 22, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, BY ESTABLISHING A NEW ARTICLE RELATING TO ALARM SYSTEMS [This item was deferred.] Chair Rapozo: If there is no objection... is there anyone in the audience wishing to testify on this matter? Seeing none, we did send over some questions at the last Committee Meeting and we did get some responses, we also got some samples that you should have from the other islands and I think there are some really good things that we can incorporate into our local bill. I would ask if PSE COMMITTEE MEETING 2 JULY 5, 2012 there are no objections that we defer this, so we can work on getting that cleaned up. Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Kualici, seconded by Councilmember Yukimura, and unanimously carried, Bill No. 2435 was deferred.
