NOTICE OF EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to the Chapter 92-7 (a), FIRS, the Committee may, -When deemed necessary, hold an
executive session on any agenda item without written public notice if the executive session was
not anticipated in advance. Any such executive session shall be held pursuant to Chapter 92-4,
FIRS, and shall be limited to those maters exempted by Chapter 92-5(a), FIRS.
ADJOURNMENT
PUBLIC COMMENTS AND TESTIMONY
Persons wishing to offer comments are encouraged to submit a written testimony at least
24-hours prior to the meeting indicating:
I. Your name and if applicable, your position/title and organization you are
representing.
2. The agenda item that you are providing comments on and
3. Whether you will be testifying in person or submitting written comments only
4. If you are unable to submit your testimony at least 24 hours prior to the meeting,
please provide 10 copies of your-written testimony at the meeting.
While every effort will be made to copy, organize and collate all testimony received,
materials received on the day of the meeting or improperly identified may be distributed

• CSW 2010-4 Update from Kanani Alapa on the status of the 2011 calendar Member Smith moved to defer; seconded by Member

• CSW 2010-7 Recap of the Women's Leadership Conference held on O'ahu
at the Sheraton Waik-ik-i Resort on O'ahu.
Member's Lisa Ellen Smith & Kanani Alapa reported that the speakers and
topics discussed were very informative, and that both Courtney Simao and
Lauren Pang this year's essay contest winners were quite taken, There was
a suggestion on the possibility of hosting a mini-leadership conference here
on Kaua'i.
• CSW 2010-8 Recap of the September Women's Health Fair held on
September 23, 2010
The members commended Linda Bothe for her giving her time in preparing
&cooking the Tofu Lasagna (it was featured in the Garden Island
Committee of the Status of Women

The Committee decided to recess the rest of the year's meeting until
January 2011.

is having their Annual Candlelight vi
tonight from 5:00 p.m, until 7:00 p.m. at the St. Michaels and All Angels Church in
Uhu'e. The event is to recognize the plight of domestic violence. Chair Carvalho
encouraged the members to attend.
