MINUTES—MEETING OF APRIL 12, 2011 On motion made by Camilla Matsumoto and seconded by Jan Kimura, to approve meeting minutes of 4/12/11, motion carried unanimously by voice vote. GENERAL BUSINESS MATTERS There were no general business matters. COMMUNICATIONS There were no communications. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There was no unfinished business. NEW BUSINESS Tentative Subdivision Action, S-2011-20,Kukui`ula Development Company (Hawai`OLLC., 6-lot Subdivision, TMK: 2-6-019:026, 029, Kukui`ula, Kauai. Staff Planner Dale Cua: Thank you Mr. Chair. As noted in the subdivision report the proposal is a 6-lot subdivision, what it does is consolidates two existing lots and re-subdivides into a total of 6. And as noted the intent of the subdivision is to establish smaller lots in a way such that these smaller lots can be developed independently and at the same time separate the golf course from the remaining developable lots. The subdivision application was routed to the various reviewing agencies, these agency requirements have been incorporated into the subdivision report in front of you. As a result the department is recommending tentative subdivision approval of this application. Chair: Over here I notice there is no park dedication, the reason being? Staff. When the Kukui`ula got their entitlements back in 2004 I believe one of the requirements for the zoning for that ordinance is actually for them to dedicate land to the County. So until such time as the dedication is made to the County we are having the applicant run a tab per say as far as what they need to pay. Chair: Any other questions for the planner? Is the applicant here? Unidentified Speaker: I just wanted to thank Dale for this wonderful report. We don't have objections or comments (inaudible). Chair: Do you have any questions for the applicant? What does the Commission want to do? Ms. Matsumoto: Move to approve tentative subdivision action for S-2011-20, Kukui`ula Development Company, Hawaii, LLC, TMK: 2-6-019:0269 029, Kukui`ula, Kauai. Chair: Second, all in favor say aye, so moved. On motion made by Camilla Matsumoto and seconded by Jan Kimura, to grant tentative approval for S-2011-20, motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
