HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes SUB 4-24-12 LA KAUAI PLANNING COMMISSION SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE MEETING April 24, 2012 The regular meeting of the Planning Commission Subdivision Committee was called to order by Chair, Herman Texeira, at 8:30 a.m., at the Lihue Civic Center, Mo'ikeha Building, in Meeting Room 2A-2B. The following Committee members were present: Ms. Camilla Matsumoto Mr. Herman Texeira Mr. Hartwell Blake Discussion of the meeting, in effect, ensued: APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA On motion made by Camilla Matsumoto and seconded by Herman Texeira,to approve the agenda, motion carried unanimously by voice vote. GENERAL BUSINESS MATTERS (NONE) COMMUNICATIONS (NONE) UNFINISHED BUSINESS (NONE) NEW BUSINESS Final Subdivision Action, S-2012-07=KukuPula Development Co. (Hawaii), LL C, 9- lot Subdivision, TMK: 2-6-017:004, 005; 2-6-018:001-67, Kukui'ula, Kauai. Staff Planner Dale Cua: Thank you Mr. Chair. As noted in the subdivision report the proposal consolidates a total of twenty lots within the residential district and re-subdivides into a total of nine lots. The final subdivision map has been routed to the various reviewing agencies for their review and approval. We have received all of the necessary approval letters; as a result the department is recommending final subdivision approval of this application. Chair: Do we have any questions of our planner? Could we call on the applicant's rep. please? I would like to make one clarification. I mentioned earlier that we only had two members; we now have three, good morning Mr. Blake. For my edification could you just briefly describe what you are trying to do? Mr. Lindsay Crawford: This map was simply the consolidation of existing lots up in our in-parcels, our mauka collection, and they were smaller lots so we combined several of them. Chair: So what is the average size of these lots going to be? Mr. Crawford: Actually after these are subdivided they are probably in excess of an acre. Chair: Mr. Blake, do you have any questions of the applicant's rep.? We have no further questions, thank you very much. Anyone from the public wishing to testify on this application, seeing none is there a motion? Ms. Matsumoto: Move to approve final subdivision action for 5-2012-07, Kukui'ula Development Company, Hawaii, LLC, TMK: 2-6-017:004, 005, and TMK: 2-6-018:001-67, Kukui'ula, Kauai. Mr. Blake: Second. Chair: Any discussion, all those in favor say aye, those opposed, motion carried. On motion made by Camilla Matsumoto and seconded by Hartwell Blake, to grant final subdivision action for 5-2012-07, motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
