HomeMy WebLinkAboutG.I. 11-18-11 H.O. phn WEB COUNTY OF KAUAI PLANNING DEPARTMENT LIHUE, KAUAI NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, of a public hearing to be held by the County of Kauai Planning Commission's Hearing Officer at the County of Kaua'i Board of Water Supply Board Room, located on the second floor of the Kaua'i County Department of Water's Microbiology Lab Building, 4398 Pua Loke Street, Li-hu'e, Kaua'i, on Friday, November 18, 2011, starting at 9:00 a.m., or soon thereafter to consider under the provisions of State Land Use Commission Rules and Regulations and Chapter 13 of the Planning Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedures, the following: 1. Special Permit SP-2011-12 to permit use of an existing single family residence for Transient Vacation Rental purposes as permitted by County of Kaua'i Ordinance No. 904, in Waiakalua, Kilauea, Kaua'i, approx. 3,300 ft. southwest of the Waiakalua Street and Kuhi`6 Highway intersection further identified as Tax Map Key 5-1-5: 37 (Unit 1) and containing a unit area of 2.265 acres of a 10.495 parcel. 2. Special Permit SP-2011-14 to permit use of an existing single family residence for Transient Vacation Rental purposes as permitted by County of Kaua'i Ordinance No. 904, in Kalihikai ('Anini), Kaua'i, mauka of and adjacent to 'Anini Road, approx. 1,100 ft. east of the 'Anini Beach Park, further identified as Tax Map Key 5-3-4: 26 (Unit 1), and containing an area of 18,000 sq. ft. of a 47,700 sq. ft. parcel. 3. Special Permit SP-2011-20 to permit use of an existing single family residence for Transient Vacation Rental purposes as permitted by County of Kaua'i Ordinance No. 904, in Kalihikai ('Anini), Kaua'i, mauka of and adjacent to 'Anini Road, approx. 870 ft. east of the 'Anini Beach Park, further identified as Tax Map Key 5-3-4: 7 and containing a parcel area of 11,200 sq. ft. 4. Special Permit SP-2011-19 to permit use of an existing single family residence for Transient Vacation Rental purposes as permitted by County of Kaua'i Ordinance No. 904, in Kalihiwai, Kaua'i, approx. 950 ft. east of the Kuhi`6 Highway and 'Anini Road (Old Kuhi`6 Highway) intersection, further identified as Tax Map Key 5-3-3: 49 (Unit A), and containing a unit area of .267 acre of a .590 acre parcel. 5. Special Permit SP-2011-21 to permit use of an existing single family residence for Transient Vacation Rental purposes as permitted by County of Kaua'i Ordinance No. 904, in Moloa'a, Kaua'i, approx. 2,650 ft. northeast of the Old Kuhi`6 Highway and Moloa'a Road intersection, further identified as Tax Map Key 4-9-13: 1 (Unit A aka "Gilligans") and containing a unit area of 16,407 sq. ft. of a 31,246 sq. ft. parcel. 6. Special Permit SP-2011-22 to permit use of an existing single family residence for Transient Vacation Rental purposes as permitted by County of Kaua'i Ordinance No. 904, in Moloa'a, Kaua'i, approx. 2,650 ft. northeast of the Old Kuhi`6 Highway and Moloa'a Road intersection, further identified as Tax Map Key 4-9-13: 1 (Unit B aka "Skippers") and containing a unit area of 14,839 sq. ft. of a 31,246 sq. ft. parcel. All interested persons may present testimony for or against any application as public witnesses. Such testimony should be made in writing and presented to the Commission prior to the public hearing. Late written testimony may be submitted up to seven (7) days after the close of the public hearing in cases where the Commission does not take action on the same day the hearing was held. Any party may be represented by counsel if he or she so desires. In addition, individuals may appear on their own behalf, a member of a partnership may represent the partnership, and an officer or authorized employee of a corporation or trust or association may represent the corporation, trust or association. Petitions for intervenor status must be submitted to the Commission and the applicant at least seven (7) days prior to the date of the hearing advertised herein and shall be in conformance with Chapter 4 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission. Proposed plans and the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission are available for inspection at the Planning Department which is located at 4444 Rice Street, Lihue, Kauai.
