HomeMy WebLinkAboutpc3-27-12phn COUNTY OF KAUAI PLANNING DEPARTIVtENT LIHUE, KAUAI NOTICE IS HhREBY GIVEN, of public hearings to be held by the Planning Commission of the County of Kauai at its regular meetings at the Lihue Civic Center, Mo'ikeha Building, Meeting Rooms 2A-2B, 4444 Rice Street, Lihue,. Kauai. The Commission will consider under the provisions of Chapter 8 of the Kauai County Code 1987, as amended, the following: 1. On Tuesday, February 28, 2012 starting at 9:00 a.m., or soon i thereafter &nng Amendment ZA-2012-4 to amend Chapter 8 of the Kauai County Code, 19§7 (as amended) foir recodification and organizational changes fort e com-prehensive zoning ordinance. 2. On Tuesday, March 27, 2012 starting at 9:00 a.m., or soon thereafter Zoning Amendment ZA-2012-5 to amend Chapter 8, Article 27 of the Kauai County Code, 1987 (as amended) to incorporate the shoreline change data produced by The University of Hawaii Coastal Geology Group in the Kauai Coastal Erosion Study and other amendments relating to setback calculations (public revie« document will be made available beginning March 7, 2012). All interested persons may present testimony for or against any application as public witnesses. Such testimony should be made in writing and presented to the Department of Planning prior to the public hearing. Late written tes#nony may be submitted up to seven (7) days after the close of the public hearing in cases where the Planning Commission does not take action, on the same day the hearing was held. Any party may be represented by counsel if he or she so desires. In addition, individuals may appear on their own behalf, a member of a partnership may represent the partnership, and an officer or authorized employee of a corporation or trust or association may represent the corporation, trust or association. Petitions for intervenor status must be submitted to the Commission and the applicant at least seven (7) days prior to the date of the hearing advertised herein and shall be in conformance with Chapter 4 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission. Chapter 4 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission relating to intervention does not apply to General Plan, Zoning or State Land Use `District Boundary Amendments and Rule Making Procedures before the Commission. Proposed plans and the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission are available for inspection at the Planning Department which is located at 4444 Rice Street, Lihu'e, Kauai. COUNTY OF KAUAI PLANNING DEPARTMENT LIHUE, KAUAI NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, of a public hearing to be held by the County of Kauai Planning Commission at its regular meeting at the Lihue Civic Center, Mo'ikeha Building, Meeting Room 2A-2B, 4444 Rice Street, Lihue, Kauai on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, starting at 9:00 a.m., or soon thereafter to consider under the provisions of State Land Use Commission Rules and Regulations and provisions of Chapter 8 of the Kauai County Code 1987, as amended, the following: 1. Special Permit SP-2012-25 to permit use of an existing single family residence for Transient Vacation Rental purposes as permitted by County of Kauai by Ordinance No. 904, in Kalihikai, Kaua'i, approx. 600 ft. south of the 'Anini Beach Park, mauka of Anini Road, further identified as Tax Map Key 5-3-4: 18, comprised of 11,451 sq. ft.
