SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE MEETING
March 27, 2013.
The regular meeting of the Planning Commission Subdivision Committee of the County
of Kauai was called to order by Committee Chair Jan Kimura, at 8:37 a.m., at the Lihue Civic
Center, Moikeha Building, in meeting room 2A-2B. The following Commissioners were
present:
Mr. Jan Kimura
Mr. Hartwell Blake
Mr. Herman Texeira
Discussion of the meeting, in effect, ensued:
ROLL CALL
Staff Planner Dale Cua noted that three Committee members were present.
CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kimura called the meeting to order at 8:37 a.m.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
On the motion by Herrman Texeira and seconded by Hartwell Blake to approve the
agenda, the motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
GENERAL BUSINESS MATTERS

NEW BUSINESS (For Action)
Tentative Subdivision Action:
5-2013-12=John W K & Teresa S. Driver, 2-lot Boundary Adjustment. TMK: 1-2-
008:003,Kikiaola, Kauai.
Staff Planner Kenneth Estes read the Director's report into the record (on file).
Commissioner Texeira asked for clarification that the proposal conforms to the
surrounding properties in terms of the zoning.
Mr. Estes replied yes.
Roger Caires, representing the property owners, indicated that he had no concerns
regarding the staff report.
Commissioner Texeira questioned the purpose besides the subdivision.
Mr. Caires stated that residential dwelling is over the property line.
Commissioner Blake questioned the sloping of the back lot.
Mr. Caires stated that it slopes to the road.
On the motion by Hartwell Blake and seconded by Herman Texeira to approve 5-
2013-12, the motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
Chair Kimura adjourned the Committee meeting at 8:42 p.m.
