HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2009-33COUNTY COUNCIL COUNTY OF KAUAI egDYUtIOTC .a.=oo9-3~RESOLUTION TO ADOPT A FEDERAL AGENDA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2010 BE IT RESOLVED BY .THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI,STATE OF HAWAII:WHEREAS, the County of Kauai is committed to providing the best services and quality of life for its residents;WHEREAS, the federal government can play a significant role in providing financial, technical, legislative and regulatory support to help the County of Kauai enhance and expand the services and facilities available for its residents; and WHEREAS, the County of Kauai has committed to fully engaging the federal government to obtain support for the county's identified economic development,water resources, transportation, community services, energy, law enforcement,housing and human services priorities; and WHEREAS, the County's Fiscal Year 2010 Federal Agenda contains projects and initiatives representing some of the most urgent needs for the County of Kauai;and WHEREAS, the Mayor has informed the Kauai County Council that he endorses the County's Fiscal Year 2010 Federal Agenda; now, therefore

The total estimated cost of the Northern Leg of the Western Bypass Road is $31,000,000, of which 20 percent will be rovided by the Coun Kauai County Law The County of Kauai currently utilizes an 975,000 Commerce Department of Enforcement analog Motorola 800 MHz Smartnet II Justice State Justice, Law Technology trunked simulcast radio system, which is Enforcement Improvements aging and old technology. The county Technology and intends to replace it with a P25 compliant Interoperability,programmable radio system and all Community ancillary components. The new Oriented Policing technology will ensure interoperability Services (COPS)among 900 users of the system, including local (emergency response and non-emergency departments), state (law enforcement and non-law enforcement),federal (law enforcement), military, and non- overnmental EMS or anizations.Kauai County The Kauai County.
