HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2010-56COUNTY COUNCIL COUNTY OF KAUAI RE~OIUtIOTY ~~. , , ,~RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SCHOOL BUS STOPS ON HOLOIKALAPA STREET -AND ON PILIPOLI ROAD, PI`ILANI MAI KE KAI SUBDIVISION,KAWAIHAU DISTRICT, COUNTY OF KAUAI WHEREAS, Chapter 16, Article 2 of the Kauai County Code authorizes the County Council to determine and designate official traffic control devices;WHEREAS, Pi`ilani Mai Ke Kai Subdivision is in the Kawaihau District,County of Kauai, State of Hawaii;WHEREAS, the County Engineer, based on an engineering and traffic investigation, has recommended that certain school bus stops be placed on Hawaiian Homestead Lands roadways within Pi`ilani Mai Ke Kai Subdivision,Kawaihau District; now, therefore,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII THAT:SECTION 1. That a School Bus Stop be established and made official at the following locations:1. On the northerly shoulder of Pilipoli Road approximately 408 feet east of its centerline intersection with Malua Street (Exhibit A),2. On the southerly shoulder of Holoikalapa Street approximately 116 feet east of its centerline intersection with Ulumanao Street (Exhibit B).SECTION 2. The County Engineer shall post School Bus Stop signs at the locations as described in Section 1 above, and as shown on the maps attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B," which are incorporated herein by reference.SECTION 3. Any person convicted of violating any provision relating to School Bus Stops, Section 16-14.1, 16-14.2, Chapter 16 of the Kauai County Code 1987, as amended, shall be subject to the penalties in Section 16-21.6, Chapter 16,of said Code.
SECTION 4.
