HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2011-55COUNTY COUNCIL COL1N'TY OF KAUAI e~uCution ~~ _~~, __RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING NO-PARKING AT ANY TIME AND TOW AWAY ZONE ALONG A PORTION OF WEKE ROAD, HANALEI DISTRICT WHEREAS, Chapter 16, Article 2 of the Kauai County Code authorizes the County Council to determine and designate official traffic control devices;WHEREAS, Weke Road is located in the Hanalei District, County of Kauai,State of Hawaii;WHEREAS, The County Engineer, based on an engineering and traffic investigation has recommended that a no-parking and tow away, zone be established along portions of Weke Road; now, therefore,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII THAT:Section 1. The County Engineer or his representative shall post appropriate signs indicating "No Parking at Anytime" and "Tow Away Zone" along the easterly and westerly shoulders of Weke Road from its intersection with Aku Road to a point approximately 530 feet north, as shown on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.Section 2. All vehicles found parked along the no-parking areas on both sides of Weke Road as described at Exhibit "A" shall be towed away at the owner's expense.Section 3. Any person convicted of violating any provision of this Resolution shall be subject to the penalties prescribed in Section 16-21.6 of the Kauai County Code 1987, as amended. In addition to the "No Parking" penalties imposed on the motorists, all vehicles found in violation of the No-Parking sections above shall be towed away and stored subject to the penalties prescribed in Section 16-9.12, Kauai County Code 1987, as amended.
Section 4.
