HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2011-75COUNTY COUNCIL COUNTY OF KAUAI i e~oIution ~~. _~~,_>_RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING STOP SIGNS AND STOP LINES WITHIN THE KEKAHA RESIDENTIAL LOTS UNIT-4 SUBDIVISION WAIMEA DISTRICT, COUNTY OF KAUAI WHEREAS, Chapter 16, Article 2 of the Kauai County Code 1987, as amended, authorizes the County Council to determine and designate official traffic control devices; and WHEREAS, Kekaha Residential Lots Unit-4 Subdivision is located in the Waimea District, County of Kauai, State of Hawaii; and WHEREAS, the County Engineer, based on an engineering and traffic investigation, has recommended that certain stop signs be placed on roadways within the Kekaha Residential Lots Unit-4 Subdivision; now, therefore,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII THAT:SECTION 1. The County Engineer or a designated representative shall post appropriate signs at the following locations, as shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A":1. On `Akikiki Place at its intersection with `Iwipolena Road;2. On Nukupu`u Street at its intersection with `Iwipolena Road;3. On Nukupu`u Street between its intersections with `Iwipolena Road and `Anianiau Street;4. On `Anianiau Street at its intersection with Nukupu`u Street; and 5. On `Anianiau Street at its intersection with `Ulili Road.SECTION 2. Any person convicted of violating any Traffic Code provision relating to stop sign restrictions shall be subject to the penalties prescribed in Section 16-21.6 of the Kauai County Code 1987, as amended.
