HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2012-20COUNTY COUNCIL COUNTY OF KAUAI Re5otution No 2012 20 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SCHOOL BUS STOP ON APAPANE STREET, ULU KO SUBDIVISION, LIHU`E DISTRICT WHEREAS, Chapter 16, Article 2 of the Kauai County Code 1987, as amended,authorizes the County Council to determine and designate official traffic control devices; and WHEREAS, The Ulu Ko Subdivision is in the Lihu`e District, County of Kaua`i, State of Hawai`i; and WHEREAS, The County Engineer, based on an engineering and traffic investigation,has recommended that a certain school bus stop be placed on a County roadway within, the Ulu Ko Subdivision, Lihu`e District; now therefore,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII THAT:Section 1. A School Bus Stop be established and made official on Apapane Street,Lihu`e District, County of Kaua`i, State of Hawai`i, as follows:1. On the Northern shoulder of 'Apapane Street approximately 110 feet north -west of its centerline intersection with Nokekula Street.Section 2. The County Engineer or his representative shall post a School Bus Stop sign at the pertinent location as described in Section 1 above, and as shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference.Section 3. Any person convicted of violating any provision relating to School Bus Stops, Section 16 -14.1, 16 -14.2, Chapter 16, Kaua'i County Code 1987, as amended, shall be subject to the penalties prescribed in Section 16 -21.6, Chapter 16 of said Code.Section 4.
