HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2012-54COUNTY COUNCIL COUNTY OF KAUAI i No 2°1254 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SCHOOL BUS STOP ON KOLOA ROAD, IN THE VICINITY OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH HONUHONU PLACE, KOLOA DISTRICT WHEREAS, Chapter 16, Article 2 of the Kaua`i County Code 1987, as amended, authorizes the County Council to determine and designate official traffic control devices; and WHEREAS, Koloa Road is in the Koloa District, County of Kaua`i, State of Hawai`i; and WHEREAS, The County Engineer, based on an engineering and traffic investigation, has recommended that a certain School Bus Stop be placed on Koloa Road in the vicinity of its intersection with Honuhonu Place, Koloa District; now,therefore,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII:SECTION 1. That a School Bus Stop be established and made official on Koloa Road, Koloa District, County of Kaua`i, State of Hawai`i, on the south - westerly shoulder of Koloa Road approximately 40 feet south -east of its centerline with Honuhonu Place.SECTION 2. The County Engineer or his representative shall post a School Bus Stop sign at the pertinent location as described in Section 1 above, and as shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "A -1" and incorporated herein by reference.SECTION 3. Any person convicted of violating any provision relating to School Bus Stops, Section 16 -14.1, 16 -14.2, Chapter 16, Kaua`i County Code 1987,as amended, shall be subject to the penalties prescribed in Section 16 -21.6,Chapter 16 of said Code.
SECTION 4.
