HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2014-30COUNTY COUNCIL COUNTY OF KAUAI ELeotutton. 2014 30 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 97 (1981) BY REMOVING A SCHOOL BUS STOP ON AWAWA ROAD, HANAPEPE VALLEY AREA, WAIMEA DISTRICT WHEREAS, Chapter 16, Article 2 of the Kaua`i County Code 1987, as amended, authorizes the County Council to determine and designate official traffic control devices; and WHEREAS, Awawa Road is in the Waimea District, County of Kauai, State of Hawai`i; and WHEREAS, The County Engineer, based on an engineering and traffic investigation, has recommended that a certain School Bus Stop be removed from a County roadway within the Waimea District; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII THAT: SECTION 1. The purpose of this Resolution is to eliminate an existing School Bus Stop established by Resolution No. 97 (1981), Establishing School Bus Stops in Waimea District, Section 1. SECTION 2. The existing School Bus Stop located on the easterly side of Hanapepe Valley Road, approximately fifty (50) feet north from its centerline intersection with Awawa Road, established by Resolution No. 97 (1981), Establishing School Bus Stops in Waimea District, Section 1, is hereby repealed. This School Bus Stop is also referred to as located near the northwestern corner of the parcel identified by Tax Map Key (4) 1-9-002:028.) SECTION 3. The County Engineer shall remove the existing School Bus Stop sign at the location described in Section 2 above and as shown on Exhibit "A."
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect upon its approval and the removal of the appropriate signs designating the School Bus Stop.
