Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Hooser, seconded by Councilmember Nakamura, and unanimously carried, the Minutes of the July 10, 2013 Public Works / Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting was approved. The Committee proceeded on its agenda item, as shown in the following Committee Report which is incorporated herein by reference: CR-PWPR 2013-22: on PWPR 2013-12 Communication (05/21/2013) from Committee Chair Kagawa, requesting the presence of the County Attorney to provide an update on the status of the "Roads in Limbo." [Received for the Record.] The Committee proceeded on its agenda item as follows: PWPR 2013-16 Communication (07/19/2013) from Committee Chair Kagawa, requesting the presence of the Director of Parks and Recreation to provide an update on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements and food booth for Hanapepe Stadium. This briefing shall include the plans for a new ADA restroom behind the home team bleachers, as well as the plans for an ADA walkway and food booth which the Council approved in the County of Kaua`i's Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Budget for Fiscal Year 2013-2014. [This item was deferred to September 4, 2013.] PWPR COMMITTEE MEETING 2 AUGUST 7, 2013 Mr. Bynum: Mr. Kagawa requested this item. Lenny is here. This restroom was in our budget last year and in the current Fiscal Year. I think Mr. Kagawa would appreciate being able to follow-up on this matter. So, I am asking for a deferral for one (1) month. Ms. Nakamura moved to defer PWPR 2013-16 to September 4, 2013, seconded by Mr. Hooser. Mr. Bynum: Is there any discussion? Does anyone in the public that would like to speak on this matter? There being no objections, the rules were suspended to take public testimony. GLENN MICKENS: Thank you, Tim. I just want to support this. I spent quite a bit of time during the baseball season down there at Hanapepe Stadium and the restroom, you have to go to the sports center or whatever it is to relieve yourself. It is very inconvenient especially like Ross was saying, for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) people. It needs a restroom right there where they are trying to build it, right behind the bleachers, making it more convenient. I just wanted to say that I support that very much. Thank you, Tim. Mr. Bynum: Any other testimony? There being no further testimony, the Committee was called back to order, and proceeded as follows: The motion to defer PWPR 2013-16 to September 4, 2013 was then put, and unanimously carried. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m. (/ .Res ectfull submitted, Allison S.
