HomeMy WebLinkAboutBILL 2486 NOTICE OF PUBLICATION/NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING (input sheet)REC'IVFn NOTICE OF PUBLICATION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kaul4 Ji4Y l 1 dPa3 :23 public hearing on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 1:30 p.m., or soon thereafter, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Room 201, Historic County Buildir, 0V, on the following: THE COUNTY CLERK Bill No. 2486 COUNT" OF KAUAI A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16 AND CHAPTER 19, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ABANDONED VEHICLES This Bill proposes to amend Chapter 16 and Chapter 19 of the Kaua`i County Code 1987, as amended, to provide broader authority to the Kaua`i Police Department and County Agencies to address and remove abandoned vehicles found on public places. This Bill would provide the Chief of Police and the Director of Parks & Recreation, or their designees, with authority to issue citations and charges for an abandoned vehicle, and allow for the disposal of an abandoned vehicle in accordance with Chapter 290, Hawai`i Revised Statutes. All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimonies prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Copies of the proposed bill is available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division. (The Council Committee or Council may amend this bill at its subsequent meetings. Meeting notices are posted at least 6 days in advance at the County Clerk's Office and the public may also testify at any of these meetings.)
