HomeMy WebLinkAboutBILL 2502 NOTICE OF PUBLICATION/NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING (input sheet) RE FIvr ' 13 SEP 26 l T:AgE OF PUBLICATION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kauai will hold a Hiring on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., or soon thereafter, at THE o.CaP4 F hambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building, COUITh ortlitel following: Bill No. 2502 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 716, RELATING TO STANDARDS, PERMITS AND FEES FOR WORK ON BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND PROPERTY DAMAGED BY HURRICANE `INIKI The purpose of this Bill is to repeal in its entirety Ordinances Nos. 642, 649, 653, 689, and 716, relating to standards, permits, and fees for work on buildings, structures, and property damaged by Hurricane `Iniki. Ordinance No. 642 was enacted on December 6, 1993, in an effort to streamline and expedite the processes associated with the numerous efforts to rebuild property, which became necessary due to the devastation caused by Hurricane `Iniki. Subsequent Ordinances Nos. 649, 653, 689, and 716 further clarified the rebuilding requirements necessary as time passed. Ordinance No. 716 also stated an intention for its repeal once the "benefits for Hurricane Iniki Damaged property" no longer existed. All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimonies prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Copies of the proposed Bill are available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division. (The Council Committee or Council may amend this Bill at its subsequent meetings. Meeting notices are posted at least six (6) days in advance at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division and the public may also testify at any of these meetings.)
