B-2013-754, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE CAPITAL BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2013 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2014, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND CIP (Kaneiolouma Heiau - $805,000, Complete Streets Koloa/Po ipu - $333,528, Po`ipu Beach Park - $333,527) The purpose of this Bill is to properly record projects funded through a Community Facilities District bond issuance in the General Fund — CIP (Fund 408) that had previously and incorrectly been established in the Special State Grants Fund (Fund 251). These projects include: Kaneiolouma Heiau - $805,000, Complete Streets Koloa/Po`ipu - $333,528, Po`ipu Beach Park - $333,527. The proposed amendment recognizes that these projects and appropriated funds are, or will shortly become, General Fund — CIP assets of the County of Kaua`i and therefore need to be accounted for as fixed assets or as work in progress. Bill No. 2506 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2013-754, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE CAPITAL BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2013 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2014, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE BOND FUND (Kaneiolouma Heiau - $350,000, Heiau Contingency - $63,407) The purpose of this Bill is to re-appropriate funding in the Bond Fund - CIP by defunding the appropriation for the Islandwide Agricultural Park System (D14004) and funding the Kaneiolouma Heiau (D13303) - $350,000 and Kaneioulouma Heiau Contingency (D13A03) - $63,407 projects. Bill No. 2507 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2013-753, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2013 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2014, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND, SOLID WASTE FUND, AND SEWER FUND The purpose of this Bill is to consolidate the thirty-nine (39) vehicle maintenance and fuel appropriation accounts within the General Fund, Solid Waste Fund, and Sewer Fund into nine (9) consolidated accounts within the Department of Public Works, Auto Maintenance Division. Bill No. 2508 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2013-753, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI, STATE OF HAWAII, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2013 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2014, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND (Licenses & Permits/Dog (Street-Use - General Fund) - $110,000, Kaua`i Humane Society (Special Projects) - $110,000) The purpose of this Bill is to account for the additional revenue anticipated to be collected from the new dog licensing fees in the amount of $110,000 and to appropriate this increased revenue to the Department of Finance, Administration — Special Projects (Kaua`i Humane Society) account in the operating budget for the Kaua`i Humane Society's assistance in administering the dog licensing program. All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimonies prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Copies of the proposed bills are available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division. (The Council Committee or Council may amend these bills at its subsequent meetings. Meeting notices are posted at least six (6) days in advance at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division and the public may also testify at any of these meetings.)
