The proposed amendments provide tax relief to homeowners by increasing the amount of the homeowners' exemption provided for in Section 5A- 11.4, repeals Section 5A -9.3 related to the Permanent Home Use Tax Limit for Home Exemption Properties, introduces a Home Preservation Tax Limit and modifies the Credit Union Exemption. All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimony prior to the hearing would be appreciated.
