The purpose of this Bill is to reappropriate five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) from the
General Fund Unassigned Fund Balance to the Police Department - Chief's Office, Regular Overtime
account to fund the estimated shortfall for Police Department overtime expenditures for the
remainder of Fiscal Year 2013 - 2014.

JULY 1, 2013 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2014, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE BOND
FUND - CIP AND SPECIAL TRUST FUND - CIP FOR PARKS & PLAYGROUNDS (Black Pot
Condemnation Balance - $1,259,905)
Pursuant to Section 19.07B and 19.10A of the Charter of the County of Kaua'i, as amended, this
Bill proposes to amend the Capital Budget for Fiscal Year 2013 - 2014 by revising the amounts
estimated in the Bond Fund - CIP and Special Trust Fund for Parks and Playgrounds (Hanalei
District). This Bill appropriates $1,030,000 from the "Equity / Fund Balance - Assigned" account to
the "BON1B-Park Open Space BP" line item within the Bond Fund - CIP, and appropriates
$229,905 from the "Equity / Fund Balance - Assigned" account to the "PAR-HAN Park Open Space
BP" line item within the Special Trust Fund for Parks & Playgrounds (Hanalei District). This
appropriation is necessary to pay for the remaining acquisition costs for the condemnation of the
Sheehan properties as follows:
