Home My WebLink About07/16/2014 Public Works/Parks & Recreation Committee minutes MINUTES PUBLIC WORKS / PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE July 16, 2014 A meeting of the Public Works / Parks & Recreation Committee of the Council of the County of Kaua`i, State of Hawaii, was called to order by Ross Kagawa, Chair, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Lihu`e, Kaua`i, on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 11:36 a.m., after which the following members answered the call of the roll: Honorable Tim Bynum Honorable Mason K. Chock, Sr. Honorable Gary L. Hooser Honorable JoAnn A. Yukimura Honorable Ross Kagawa Honorable Mel Rapozo, Ex-Officio Member Honorable Jay Furfaro, Ex-Officio Member Minutes of the July 2, 2014 Public Works / Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting. Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Chock, seconded by Councilmember Yukimura, and unanimously, the Minutes of the July 2, 2014 Public Works / Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting was approved. The Committee proceeded on its agenda item, as follows: C 2014-89 Communication (03/05/2014) from Council Chair Furfaro, requesting the presence of the County Engineer, to provide an update on the Ala Kalanikaumaka Street off-site drainage area and the efforts of the Department of Public Works to address the reported problems that occur following heavy rain. (This item was Deferred.) Chair Kagawa: We received an E-mail from the church members. They are still trying to work with Public Works and as we said the last time we deferred it, anytime the community is discussing with Public Works we hope for a resolution between both parties, so if we can have a motion to defer to August 6, 2014. PWPR COMMITTEE MEETING 2 JULY 16, 2014 Upon motion duly made by Councilmember Bynum, seconded by Councilmember Hooser, and unanimously carried, C 2014-89 was deferred.
