Carvalho, Jr., Mayor FROM: Jay Furfaro, Council Chai ,� / RE: SEPTEMBER 24, 2014 COUN. /1 RECAP This is to inform you of the action taken by the Council at its September 24, 2014 Council Meeting: COMMUNICATIONS: C 2014-249 Communication (08/29/2014) from Councilmember Rapozo, transmitting for Council consideration, a Resolution urging that a cooperative effort be made by the State of Hawaii, Hawai`i State Department of Education, and community residents in preventing a situation that allows school personnel to deny meals to students with a zero balance or deficit meal account. (Received for the Record.) C 2014-250 Communication (09/03/2014) from the Housing Director, requesting Council approval to decline the County's option to repurchase Unit No. 304, Ho`okena at Puhi, located at 2080 Manawalea Street, Lihu`e, Hawaii, and to grant the owner a one-year waiver of the buyback and allow the market sale of the unit.
