RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A COUNTY BUS STOP ALONG KAWAIHAU
ROAD,KAWAIHAU DISTRICT,COUNTY OF KAUA’I
WHEREAS,Chapter 16,Article 2 of the Kaua’i County Code authorizes the
County Council to determine and designate official traffic devices;
WHEREAS,Kawaihau Road is in the Kawaihau District,County of Kaua’i
State of Hawai’i;and
WHEREAS,The County Engineer,based on an engineering and traffic
investigation,has recommended that a County bus stop be placed on Kawaihau
Road,approximately 205 feet west of Awa’a Place;now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF KAUA’I,STATE OF
HAWAI’I THAT:
SECTION 1.A County bus stop shall be established and made official
on Kawaihau Road,Kawaihau District,County of Kaua’i,State of Hawai’i,on the
southerly shoulder of Kawaihau Road approximately 205 feet west of its centerline
intersection with Awa’a Place.
SECTION 2.The County Engineer shall post appropriate signs
designating a County bus stop at the pertinent location as described in Section 1
above,and as shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit “A”and incorporated
herein by reference.
SECTION 3.Any person convicted of violating any provision relating to
bus stops,Sections 16-14.1 and 16-14.2,Chapter 16 of the Kaua’i County Code 1987,
as amended,shall be subject to the penalties in Section 16-2 1.6,Chapter 16,of said
Code.
SECTION 4.This resolution shall take effect upon its approval and the
posting of appropriate signs designating the County bus stop.
