Director Gerald Rapozo, Private Secretary Cherisse Zaima; Deputy County Attorney Nicholas Courson; Life's Choices Coordinator Theresa Koki Excused Vice Chair Akita called the meeting to order at Absent SUBJECT DISCUSSION ACTION Call To Order Prior to the start of the meeting, Council Administrative Assistant Eddie Topenio gave the Oath of Office to new commission member Gary Pacheco Vice Chair Akita called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m. with 6 members present, constituting a quorum. Roll Call Director Rapozo called roll, noting 6 members were present. Approval of the Mr. Endo moved to approve the agenda. Mr. Agenda Pacheco seconded the motion. Motion carried 6:0. Approval of the MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS OF MARCH 17, 2016 Ms. Iida moved to approve the minutes. Mr. Minutes Endo seconded the motion. Motion carried 6:0. 1. Mr. Pacheco seconded the motion. Motion carried 6:0_ Kauai Liquor Open Session April 7, 2016 Control Commission 2. PRESENTATION BY LIFE'S CHOICES KAUAI COORDINATOR ON PARTNERSHIP FOR SUCCESS GRANT Life's Choices Coordinator Theresa Koki provided some information on the $220,000 grant her Division recently received, and ways those monies will be used; the Department of Liquor Control may work in conjunction with her to implement some prevention programs or activities with the youth. 3, CHANGE IN CORPORATE OFFICERS: a) FOOD PANTRY, LTD. b) FOODLAND SUPERMARKET, LTD c) ANHEUSER -BUSCH SALES OF HAWAII Ms. Iida moved to accept the change in corporate officers. Mr. Oda seconded the motion. Motion carried 6:0. 4. VIOLATION REPORTS: d) KAPAA CHEVRON e) J02 RESTAURANT f) SHERATON KAUAI RESORT (GARDEN) g) SHERATON KAUAI RESORT (OCEAN) Mr. Endo moved to call licensees for violation h) SHERATON KAUAI RESORT LINK CAFE hearing. Ms. Iida seconded the motion. Motion carried 6:01 5. NEW LIQUOR LICENSE: LIVING FOODS: Application No. 2016 -114 was filed on March 14, 2016 by Pineapple Express LLC dba Living Foods for a Restaurant General (no live entertainment, no dancing) license located at 2829 Ala Ms. Iida moved for publication and public Kalanikaumaka Street, Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii. Deposited $450. hearing of Application No. 2016 -114. Mr. Oda seconded the motion. Motion carried 6:0.
