My friend came into the Emergency room with early signs of heat stroke after playing in the Dinosaur volleyball tournament at Kalapaki Beach. Both firefighters were kind and helpful. They made our time at the hospital pleasant, dispite our circumstance. Their help is greatly appreciated. Please tell them thank you for their kindness! Sincerely, Get Outlook for Android P.O. BOX 729-k Hanalei-* H1 * 96714 March 15, 2017 To: Robert Westerman, Kauai Fire Chief From: Namolokama O'Hanalei Canoe Club Subject: 2016 Hanalei Swim Challenge Aloha Chief Waterman, Namolokama O' Hanalei Canoe Club is most appreciative of your willingness to help make the 2016 Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge the most successful event to date in the ten year history of this fund raiser for our club. This fund raiser is our club's main source of funding. We could not conduct this event with almost 300 swimmers without the help of the Fire Department and Lifeguards. We would like to give a special Aloha and Mahalo to Jody Foster of the Fire department for providing the team of fireman and Jet Ski safety patrol. In addition, we would like to give a special Aloha and Mahalo to Lifeguards Chris Pico and Chad Listman for their team and Jet Ski safety patrol. We returned a portion of the proceeds to the Halawai Ohana O'Hanalei The Hanalei Community Center. Mahalo for helping us make this event a rewarding day for so many. We hope to continue this event each year with your support. With Aloha, Hobey Beck, President ":Namolokama O'Hanlei is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation in good standing"
