News Release For Immediate Release: February 10, 2017 Water conservation requested for all Kekaha residents KEKAHA – The Department of Water (DOW) has issued a water conservation request for all Kekaha residents until further notice, due to a main line break that is affecting the main feed of the town’s water source. Residents and businesses are asked to limit water consumption to essential uses only, in order to avoid a water outage. Essential water uses include cooking, bathing and toilet flushing. Water conservation measures include refraining from car washing, turning off automatic outdoor irrigation and sprinkler systems, and using water wisely both indoors and outdoors. The main line break is located on Kokee Road, near the Menehune Food Mart. The DOW anticipates the emergency repairs to complete by approximately 8 a.m., Friday, February 10. Motorists are advised to drive carefully through the area. The DOW thanks all residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation. Updates will be sent when new information becomes available.
