LĪHU‘E – A free workshop for those who provide services to limited English proficient
(LEP) individuals will be offered next month. State and county workers, medical personnel,
educators, community organizations as well as the general public are all welcomed to attend.
The training will be held twice on Tuesday, June 6 at the Kaua‘i War Memorial
Convention Hall in Līhu‘e. The first session will be offered from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The afternoon
session will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Linda Nuland, Kaua‘i County Equal Employment Opportunity/ADA coordinator, said, “We
want to ensure that all LEP persons have meaningful access to government programs, services
and activities. The workshop will assist us with achieving this goal.”

The free training is a collaborative effort between the Hawai‘i Office of Language
