Tree Tunnel to close for community clean-up, striping on July 8
KŌLOA – The public is advised that Maluhia Road, from the Tree Tunnel to the Ala
Kino‘iki Road junction, will be closed on Saturday, July 8, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During the road closure, traffic will be diverted to Piko, Ōma’o and Kōloa roads.
Motorists should allow for extra travel time and follow the speed limits and all traffic
signs.
The road closure will allow community groups to do their annual clean-up of the
“Gateway to the South Shore” in preparation for the annual Kōloa Plantation Days.
In addition, the Roads Division will be doing center line striping.
The Tree Tunnel beautification project is spearheaded by the Po‘ipū Beach Resort
Association (PBRA) in partnership with community organizations.
Anyone that would like to participate in the clean-up is encouraged to call the PBRA at
742-7444.
For more information about the road closure, please call Scott Suga with the Roads
Division at 241-4844.
