Kaua‘i DMV extends vehicle registration deadline to July 7
LĪHU‘E – Vehicle owners whose registrations expire on June 30 have been granted an
extension until July 7, in order to accommodate those impacted by this week’s computer
disruption.
To avoid a late fee, walk-in or mailed payments must be received or postmarked no later
than July 7.
A computer issue that started on Oahu on Monday continues to affect all counties within
the state.
Services are still suspended at this time for driver’s licenses and state IDs.
Vehicle registrations are being accepted in person, however, owners should expect
delays as the computer processing systems are very slow.
County processing for bus passes, sewer, landfill, refuse and sludge payments remain in
service.
Updates will be given as new information becomes available.
For more information on Motor Vehicle Registration, call 241-4256. For Driver’s License
inquiries, call 241-4242.
