Survey for Kaua'i Bus Short-Range Transit Plan open until Sept. 4
LĪHU'E – After holding islandwide, public information and community comment sessions on
the Kaua'i Bus Short-Range Transit Plan, the County of Kaua'i’s Transportation Agency is
reminding the public that a survey for the plan will be open until Sept. 4.
The Transportation Agency encourages comments and suggestions on improved weekday
and weekend bus services, added shuttle locations, on-demand bus service for people with
mobility constraints, as well as fare and rider information on KauaiBusPlan.com through the
beginning of September.
“A big mahalo to members of the public who stopped by our booths to get more information
and discuss their priorities,” said Transpiration Agency Executive Celia Mahikoa.
Big Save Markets, Times Supermarket, Wal-Mart and Princeville Shopping Center were the
sites of the public information sessions from July 17 through July 20.
“We encourage all members of the public to visit the website for more information, to
participate in the project survey and to provide additional comments,” said Mahikoa.
Officials with the Transportation Agency give members of the public information on the
Kaua'i Bus Short-Range Transit Plan at Times Supermarket in Lihue.
Members of the public seek info on the Kaua'i Bus Short-Range Transit Plan at Wal-Mart.
