Altercation in Hanalei parking lot results in injuries
HANALEI – Police responded to an altercation involving multiple subjects on Saturday
night in a Hanalei restaurant parking lot.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 28-year-old male of Moloa‘a was physically
attacked by multiple subjects in the rear parking lot of Tahiti Nui restaurant shortly after 11:30
p.m.
The attack resulted in injuries to the Moloa‘a man and a 21-year-old male of Kīlauea.
Both males were transported to Wilcox Hospital with injuries and have since been
released.
No arrests have been made at this time as police are still investigating what appears to
be an act of self-defense.
Updates will be given as more information becomes available.
