Traffic advisory for Veteran’s Day Parade
LĪHU‘E – County officials announce road closures and bus stop modifications to
accommodate Saturday’s Veteran’s Day Parade on Rice Street in Līhu‘e.
Starting at 9:30 a.m., the parade will begin at Vidinha Stadium, head down Ho‘olako and
Rice streets, and end on ‘Eiwa Street at the Historic County Building.
In preparation for the event, the Kaua‘i Police Department will close all streets along the
parade route, from roughly 8:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.
During the road closures, the bus stop on ‘Eiwa Street will be temporarily relocated to
Hardy Street, fronting the state building.
No parking will be allowed along the parade route, including ‘Eiwa and ‘Umi streets, after
8:45 a.m. on Saturday, until the parade is over and roads reopen.
Motorists should allow additional time to get to their destinations as traffic delays are
expected.
