Flash Flood Watch cancelled for Kaua‘i;
County services resume
LĪHU'E – The Flash Flood Watch for the island of Kaua'i was cancelled at 3 a.m.
Thursday. Additionally, both lanes of Kūhiō Highway in the vicinity of the Hanalei Bridge opened
at the same time.
Hanalei Elementary School is open today and services have resumed for the Kekaha
Landfill and most green waste services on the island – with the exception of the Hanapēpē
refuse station, which will open for green waste and other recycling services at 11 a.m.
State officials have announced that the Kalalau Trail is open, but a Brown Water Advisory
remains in effect for the island.
