Construction begins at Kalāheo fire station
KALĀHEO – County of Kaua‘i officials announced that construction has begun for the
Kalāheo Fire Station Driveway Restoration Project.
Work hours are approximately 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with possible work
during the weekend.
The project’s scope of work includes restoring the existing driveway and repairing the
existing moss rock wall at the Kalāheo fire station.
KFD’s fire trucks will be temporarily stationed in a designated area of the Kalāheo
Neighborhood Center’s parking lot while pavement work and curing to the station’s driveway
takes place.
The work is expected to be completed by Jan. 9, 2018.
Funding for the $91,410 project is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant program.
Peterson Bros. Construction Inc. is the general contractor.
