Wanted suspect Jesse Korn arrested Monday
KŌLOA – The man believed to have sexually assaulted two adult female victims Sunday
morning in Kōloa, prompting a two-day manhunt, was arrested by Kaua‘i police on Monday
without incident.
Shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday, police were informed that the wanted suspect Jesse
Korn was in a unit at Kawailehua Housing on Paanau Road, and he was ready to turn himself
in. Police arrived at the facility and arrested Korn, age 26 of Kōloa, for one count of Kidnapping,
two counts of Burglary in the First Degree, and three counts of Sexual Assault in the First
Degree.
He was taken into custody and is currently being held in Police Cellblock with bail set at
$500,000. Korn is scheduled to appear in court later this week.
Roughly 20 patrol officers and detectives, with the assistance of Air 1, searched for Korn
after the assaults were reported on Sunday morning. Police worked with the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney in obtaining a warrant Sunday night for Korn’s arrest.
“The capture of Jesse Korn was our number one priority in keeping our community safe,”
said Kaua‘i Police Chief Darryl Perry. “I thank our officers, the Office of the Prosecuting
Attorney, and the entire community for working together to bring this dangerous man into
custody as quickly as possible.”
