K-PAL announces islandwide flag football registration
The Kaua'i Police Activities League (K-PAL) today announced registration for flag
football programs in Kapa‘a-Anahola, Līhu'e, Kōloa-Kalāheo, Hanapēpē, and Waimea for all
school-aged youth, from kindergarten to high school senior.
Registration for the Kapa‘a-Anahola flag football program is being held on Wednesday,
April 5 and 12 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the KPAL Kapa‘a Youth Center, located at 4800 Kawaihau
Road.
The Līhu'e program registration will be held on Thursday, March 30, April 6, and April 13,
from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the K-PAL Līhu‘e Youth Center and Boxing Gym, located between
Vidinha Stadium and the soccer field.
Those interested in Kōloa-Kalāheo flag football can register at the Kalāheo
Neighborhood Center at 4480 Papalina Road, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., on Fridays, March 31 and
April 7, and on Monday, April 17.
Those interested in the Hanapēpē program can register at the Hanapēpē Boxing Gym,
located at 4405 Puolo Road on Tuesday, April 4 and 11, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Participants for the Waimea program can register at the Waimea Neighborhood Center
located at 4556 Makeke Road. Registrations will be accepted on Monday, April 3 and 10, from
4:30 to 7 p.m.
Football practice begins in May. Practices times will be determined by each coach once
all registration forms have been collected. The cost for flag football is $25.
K-PAL is always looking for more volunteer coaches for its flag football program. If you
or someone you know is interested in coaching, please go to one of the above registration sites
to learn more.
