Bicyclist hospitalized after being struck by hit-and-run driver
KAPA‘A – Kaua‘i police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck and injured a

The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on Kawaihau Road, near the Bettencourt Lane

Bystanders assisted her until police, firefighters and medics arrived. She was
transported to Wilcox Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Kawaihau Road was closed in both directions until approximately 8:30 p.m. while officers
with KPD’s Traffic Safety Section conducted an on-scene investigation.
