Chock, Chair, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Lihu`e, Kaua`i, on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at 1:34 p.m., after which the following Members answered the call of the roll: Honorable Gary L. Hooser Honorable Ross Kagawa Honorable Arryl Kaneshiro Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i Honorable Mason K. Chock Honorable JoAnn A. Yukimura, Ex-Officio Member Honorable Mel Rapozo, Ex-Officio Member There being no objections, the meeting recessed at 1:35 p.m., and the Budget & Finance Committee Meeting convened. The meeting reconvened at 3:53 p.m., and proceeded on its agenda items, as shown in the following Committee Reports, which are incorporated herein by reference: CR-PL 2016-03: on Bill No. 2609 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO HOMESTAYS (Received for the Record.) CR-PL 2016-04: on Bill No. 2619, Draft 1 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO HOMESTAYS (Restricting Homestays to the Visitor Destination Areas County of Kauai, Applicant) (Approved as Amended.) The Committee proceeded on its agenda item as follows: Bill No. 2627 A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 10, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING A NEW ARTICLE 5B, RELATING TO THE LIHU`E PLANNING DISTRICT (County of Kaua`i, Applicant) (This item was Deferred.) Committee Chair Chock: Any public testimony on this item? Seeing none, may I have a motion to defer? PL COMMITTEE MEETING 2 MAY 11, 2016 Councilmember Kagawa moved to defer Bill No. 2627, seconded by Councilmember Kuali`i, and unanimously carried.
