HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/20/2016 Public hearing transcript on BILL#2624 PUBLIC HEARING APRIL 20, 2016 A public hearing of the Council of the County of Kaua`i was called to order by Mel Rapozo, Chair, Committee of the Whole, on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at 1:32 p.m., at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building, Lihu`e, and the presence of the following was noted: Honorable Mason K. Chock Honorable Arryl Kaneshiro Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i Honorable JoAnn A. Yukimura Honorable Mel Rapozo Excused: Honorable Gary L. Hooser Honorable Ross Kagawa The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following: "Bill No. 2624 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT FOR BARGAINING UNIT 14 BETWEEN JULY 1, 2015 AND JUNE 30, 2017," which was passed on first reading and ordered to print by the Council of the County of Kauai on March 23, 2016, and published in The Garden Island newspaper on April 4, 2016. The following communication was received for the record: 1. Hawaii Government Employees' Association (HGEA), AFSCME Local 152, AFL-CIO, April 19, 2016 The hearing proceeded as follows: JADE K. FOUNTAIN-TANIGAWA, County Clerk: We have one (1) piece of written testimony in support of the Bill. Council Chair Rapozo: Okay. Do we have any registered speakers?
