Employee of the Month recognized at Police Commission Meeting
LIHU'E — The Kauai Police Department (KPD) recognized Det. Charles Dubocage as
the Employee of the Month during December's Police Commission meeting held on Dec. 22, at
the Pi`ikoi Building.
The Investigative Services Bureau honored Det. Dubocage for his outstanding
investigative work that led to the arrest of a 37-year-old LThu`e man suspected of sexual assault
of a minor.
During the investigation, Det. Dubocage prepared and obtained a search warrant for the
suspect's residence, and as a result of the search the man was arrested in February 2017 on
various federal and state charges.
"I would like to recognize and thank Det. Dubocage for his dedication and hard work in
finding justice for the victims, and the countless hours he put into this investigation," said Kauai
Police Chief Darryl Perry.
