UPDATE: Flash Flood Warning cancelled; Kuhio Highway near Hanalei Bridge reopens to one lane of alternating traffic The National Weather Service has cancelled the Flash Flood Warning for the island of Kauai as of 12:51 p.m. Thursday. Kuhio Highway in the vicinity of the Hanalei Bridge was reopened to one lane of alternating traffic at approximately 12:45 p.m. Due to the reopening of the highway, the American Red Cross shelter at Hanalei Elementary School closed at approximately 1 p.m. The state Department of Transportation reports that the landslide in Wainiha, near mile marker 6, was cleared and the road was opened at approximately 12 p.m. For weather updates call the National Weather Service automated weather line at 245- 6001, or visit the NWS website, www.weather.gov/hawaii.
