Do not drink advisory remains in effect for Wainiha, Haena and a portion of
Weke Road in Hanalei
HAENA — The Department of Water (DOW) reminds customers that the 'Do not drink' advisory
remains in effect for residents in Wainiha, Haena and residents located along a portion of Weke
Road; from Pilikoa Street to the Makai-end of Weke Road in Hanalei. DOW is conducting
investigations on the water systems in the affected areas to determine the status of the water
quality before the next update can be provided to customers. Therefore, residents located in
Wainiha, Haena and those located along a portion of Weke Road in Hanalei, are advised not to
drink or cook with tap -water, as a precautionary measure, until further notice.
DOW appreciates the cooperation and patience of our residents and visitors during these
important emergency response efforts. An update will be provided as new information becomes
available.
